Who We Are

From the Board...

When God created animals He did something magnificent when He made the horse. Have you ever considered all the ways that horses help people? They are used in transport, function as beasts of burden, used for recreation and competition, equine therapy, and are simply beautiful to look at.

At HideOut Pines Ranch, horses serve in a unique way. They are a magnet that people are drawn to. Although technology has its place in our culture, many people nowadays are seeking more outdoor experiences since much of their day is spent indoors and in front of a screen.

So much of life’s beauty is outside in God’s creation. Horses are not only beautiful but they are also approachable. That is the key to the ministry philosophy of the ranch - to connect our youth to horses and build trust, first with an animal but ultimately with a person. One of the greatest needs people have, children and adults alike, is to trust and attach.  Building a relationship with a horse can be a first step in bringing down walls that hurting people have put up.

HideOut Pines had a soft launch in July 2019, finishing with a day camp in August. Over forty young people visited the ranch and over 30 volunteer “ranch hands” pitched in to help the ministry get started. As we look ahead, we anticipate a season of growth, not only in numbers, but more importantly in depth of relationships and friendships...from horses to people to God.
